MODULAMANOPOLA is a music-cycle, a metaphor of the journey of life, from conception till death. The symbol of this journey is a
half-moon representing the missing part of every human thing: projects, love, suffering, and life itself that never comes to an end at the right moment.
The impossibility of reaching the total and ideal fulfilment in every human field fuels a continuos never-satisfied desire for fulfilment. After having experienced conception, birth, desire, and betrayal, human beings gain wisdom. They realize what life is and what they would like it were, experiencing the gap between achievement and will-power.
The awareness of human imperfection leads to peace which is a consequence of wisdom, but of the end of life too.
Hope arises from life cycle that always reproduces in the same way: in a cyclic way according to ancient philosophers and stoicism, in a linear way according to the christian point of view.

1 -THE CONCEPTION (8’ 39”)
From initial chaos, a logic of sounds and rhythms slowly stands out. It's a desperate research on creativity: noises turn into sounds, sounds turn into creative moments. It's like a sacred piercing wind, that fixes an event in a finite time: water, life creation, conception.
|
 |
2 – BIRTH (8‘ 41”)
A far-off echo announcing the gestation preceding the birth covers the delicate sounds of preparations. It's the search for a way, the running towards a far light.
We experience the uncertainty of this run till an inexorable and painful solution: our birth.
|
 |
3 – DESIRE (5’ 46”)
Desire is like an astonished fall into a vortex of uncontrollable emotions.
As the mind is clouding, a wild wind leads us to unesplored places.
Chemical and electric reactions weaken the inhibitor fluxes till the letting go among disharmonious, but pleasant sounds.
|
 |
4 – BETRAYAL (8’ 10”)
The sound of the satisfied desire is a prelude to betrayal, that transforms the innate desire for loyalty slowly and painfully.
Rhythms of exogenous forces bridle our body. At the same time, low-pitched sounds influence our mind.
A primordial wind drives our will-power to places of no-return.
Harried steps in the mud are the prelude to betrayal.

 |
5 – WISDOM (9’ 00”)
Wisdom is life experience and idealism at the same time. It'is the right blend between the awareness of things as they are and the desire they would be different.
This is the sense of our hunting for the missing half of things -the halfmoon- but it's also awareness that we will never get accomplishment.
The initial optimistic and relaxing sound announces the Eastern wind. It's the bearer of ancient wisdom due to a contemplative way of life and to the realization of one's ideals.
This track is rather Apollonian, rational and sharp and refers to a world observed with detachment as it is: it's a conscious flight over man's wickedness. But it's also a flight over human solidarity and art's sublimity.
Well, you can find not only many points of reference as regards music, but hear the echo of our adventure too.

 |
6 – PEACE (6’ 14”)
Generally, peace reminds us of death. The low-pitched sound of this track is metaphorical. In our life, in spite of our attempt, we don't experience this pacific state. Only at the end of life we get peace hoping that new conceptions, births and life will go on and on till the final judgement.
At the end we can hear the whistling of the wind, the gurgling of the water, noises...no more sounds.
