NOTES: BBDR is the acronym derived from the stage names
(Biondo, Brian, D.Rad) of the foundation members of a recording studio in an underground ex carpenter's shop in Via dei Durantini, in Pietralata quarter. From 1993 to 2000, this studio was a marvellous experimental information-lab where our knowledge of recording and mixing technique was widened:
*research on dub techniques
*sound processing using computers
*creations and use of samples archives
*wiring techniques of musical HW
*learning how to get the most out SW and testing it
*digital image editing
*other activities concerning music and digital image editing
At the BBDR studio worked not only its foundation members, but many roman friends too as Marco "Scocchi" Scocchera, Massimo "Frank" Talamonti, Gerardo "Rass Noiz" Greco, Graziano "Sgraz" Serafini, Andrea "Ash" Nicoletti, and others. They have developed their professional skills in information technology successfully.
At studio, Stefano D.Rad Facchielli developed his skills as a photographer, graphic designer, keyboard operator, electronic musician, and dub master. |
