NOTES: "I became acquainted with Stefano in 1997.
I often went to the BBDR studio in Rome, where my friend and collaborator Gerardo Greco used to work. Right there we mixed our first cd "Mmacarie" with Brian, one of the member of the studio.
Sometimes anarchic words seemed to come out of an armchair in front of the computer: on that chair was sitting D.Rad, the "Alma man-machine", as he was called by Italian musicians.
He was the man who was revolutionizing ethnic music in Italy, the artist who was creating a school with his unique way of modifing nuke sound through electronic machines.
Apparently he seemed ill-tempered and destructive, whereas he was sensitive and generous: for the mixing of our track he didn't want any money: that was his present, a gesture of encouragement.
His aggressive look changed into a childlike one when I made him a present: a book on The Orbs, one of his favourite bands.
For many reasons the track that Stefano mixed was never released until his death, and it seems strange that it was published as ghost track in our latest album St. Rocco's Rave.
This is our way to hold Stefano in high esteem and to respect an artist that didn't like to show off.
We have been greatly influenced by his way of making music".
